Lycian Way is one of the world's top 10 long-distance walking routes.
Lycian Way (Turkish: Likya Yolu) is a marked long-distance trail in southwestern Turkey around part of the coast of ancient Lycia. It is over 500 km (310 miles) in length and stretches from Hisarönü (Ovacık), near Fethiye, to Geyikbayırı in Konyaaltı, about 20 km (12 miles) from Antalya. It is marked with red and white stripes after the French Grande Randonnee convention system. The intersections are marked with yellow directional signs. The trail was conceived by Kate Clow and opened in 1999.
Lycia was a region on the Western Taurus Mountains in Teke Peninsula in southwestern Anatolia on the Mediterranean Sea coast. According to historians, Lycian people lived in the prehistoric Late Bronze Age. They built city-states along the Mediterranean Sea coast, such as Phaselis, Sdyma, Pyndai, Phellos, Apelia, Theimussa, Letoon, Xanthos, Patara, Antiphellos, Apollonia, Idyros, Simena, Myra, Limyra, Gagae, Olympos, Sura, Belos. In later times, the region of Lycia was occupied by the Persian Empire and Ancient Greece, then controlled by Ancient Rome, Byzantine Empire, Seljuk Empire, and finally, the Ottoman Empire. Rock-cut tombs on cliff walls and sarcophages in the region testify to the Lycian civilization.

Day 1 Antalya → Hisarcandır → Çitdibi
Meet with your guide at Antalya Airport at 9 am. Have breakfast. set off to Hisarcandır village ( one hour drive), where our trekking will start. Visit the castle located on rocks and finish at Çitdibi village. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight Göynük.

Day 2 Çit Dibi → Typallia Ruins → Geyikbayırı
Breakfast at the hotel. set off to Typailia ancient city ruins, where our daily trekking will start, and pass through Trebanna ruins. The ruins of Trebanna lie on a small hill and are surrounded by an early Byzantine wall containing the ruins of Roman baths and an earlier Byzantine basilica. Daily trekking will finish at Geyikbayırı village. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Göynük.

Day 3 Gedelme → Göynük
Breakfast at the hotel. set off to Gedelme. Visit the Cave, and our daily trekking tour starts. Trekking through ancient migration paths will end at Göynük National Park. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Göynük.

Day 4 Ulupınar → Mount Chimera → Çıralı
Breakfast at the hotel. Daily trekking will start at Ulupınar and end at Mount Chimera, a spectacular place characterized by constantly burning fire. Trekking to Cıralı beach, a nesting area for endangered Caretta sea turtles. Free time for swimming. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Olympos or Ardasan.

Day 5 Adrasan → Olympos
Breakfast at the hotel and daily trekking will start at Adrasan and end at Olympos Ancient Site. The city's foundation dates back to the 4th century BC. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Olympos or Ardasan.

Day 6 Adrasan → Gelidonya Light House
Breakfast at the hotel and daily trekking will start at Adrasan and end at Gelidonya Light House. Free time for swimming at Cennet creek. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Olympos or Ardasan.

Day 7 Suluada Boat Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and take the daily boat tour. Enjoy swimming in the turquoise water and discovering the fantastic creeks of Suluada. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight Olympos or Ardasan.
Day 8 Phasilis → Goynuk → Antalya
Have breakfast and set off to Phaselis ancient site (40 km, 1-hour drive). Phaselis has three harbors: the 'Northern Harbour,' the 'Battle Harbour,' and the 'Protected (Sun) Harbour,' of which the last is the most important. set off to Goynuk canyon (25 km, 30-mn drive). Hiking in the canyon inside the Beydağları Coastal National Park and worth visiting with waterfalls and ponds. Transfer to Antalya Airport for your flight.
